“间隙香港”项目由香港大学园境建筑学部的三位导师及学者陆小璇、伊凡·瓦林以及苏姗·特朗芙合作开展。该项目旨在对香港小型开放空间展开全面调查,挖掘并展望这些被低估的公共领域资产的潜力。
Interstitial Hong Kong is an ongoing research project led by Xiaoxuan Lu, Ivan Valin, and Susanne Trumpf, instructors and scholars from the Division of Landscape Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. The aim of the research is to present a comprehensive survey of Hong Kong’s smallest open spaces while envisioning new potential for this undervalued public-realm asset.


陆小璇
助理教授,香港大学建筑学系园境建筑学部
陆小璇博士任教于香港大学建筑学系园境建筑学部。在此之前,她曾在荷兰West8事务所、丹麦BIG事务所以及北京土人景观与建筑规划设计研究院参与建筑与景观实践。她获得美国南加州建筑学院建筑学学士、哈佛大学景观建筑学硕士,以及北京大学人文地理学博士。陆小璇荣获2012年美国景观学会分析与规划类最高奖;其所担任编辑及专栏主持人的《景观设计学》杂志,荣获2015年美国景观学会媒体类荣誉奖。

伊凡·瓦林
助理教授,香港大学建筑学系园境建筑学部
伊凡·瓦林任教于香港大学建筑学系园境建筑学部,任该学部研究生项目负责人一职。在此之前,他曾有10余年的建筑及景观实践经验。他获得弗吉尼亚大学建筑学学士、加州大学伯克利分校建筑学及景观建筑学双硕士。其研究及设计作品曾在华盛顿国家建筑博物馆、鹿特丹国际建筑双年展以及深圳-香港城市建筑双城双年展展出。

苏姗·特朗芙
访问助理教授,香港大学建筑学系园境建筑学部
苏姗·特朗芙任教于香港大学建筑学系园境建筑学部,并于2015年在香港建立其设计工作室(indialogue)。特朗芙在欧洲与香港有7年的建筑实践经验,曾任教于英国建筑联盟香港暑期访校及香港理工大学。她获得柏林工业大学建筑学学士、代尔夫特理工大学建筑学硕士。其硕士毕业作品曾被提名2012年Archiprix全球建筑毕业设计大奖。

About Xiaoxuan Lu
Xiaoxuan Lu is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Landscape Architecture, where she teaches landscape history and theory, and design studios. Her research and design work has been exhibited internationally in “Crossing Kazakhstan: The Monumentality of Linear Landscape” at Harvard University in Cambridge (2016.4-10), “Dialogues on Urbanization Exhibition” at IIT in Chicago (2015.3-5), and 22nd International Garden Festival at Chaumont-sur-Loire, France (2013.5-11).

Dr. Lu received her Bachelor of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture, and Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University. She was a PhD Fellow at Harvard University during the academic years of 2014-2016, and received her PhD in Human Geography from Peking University in 2016. She was the recipient of Award of Excellence from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) in 2012. She has also served as an editor and columnist for Landscape Architecture Frontiers since 2012, which won an Honor Award in the Communications category of 2015 ASLA professional awards.

About Ivan Valin
Ivan Valin is an assistant professor of landscape architecture and director or the Master of Landscape Architecture program at the University of Hong Kong. His research examines alternative paradigms for nature and ecology in the city, specifically looking at the histories, forms and impacts of landscape systems in tropical and developing cities.

Ivan holds a Master of Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. Ivan has more than ten years in professional practice in the fields of landscape architecture and architecture and he is a founding partner a private research and consultancy practice devoted to issues of urban landscape planning and design. His design and research work has been exhibited internationally with the National Building Museum, the International Architecture Biennale in Rotterdam, and the Hong Kong and Shenzhen Biennale.

About Susanne Trumpf
Susanne Trumpf is an architect and designer based in Hong Kong. She establishes indialogue, a platform for collaborative design and research focused on conversations, experimentations and questions on architecture and urban strategies. Previously, she has been teaching at the University of Hong Kong (Landscape Architecture) and the AA Visiting School Hong Kong and was a guest lecturer at the PolyU School of Design. She has practiced in several architecture and design studios for over seven years, most recently as senior associate at ICE Hong Kong and as designer for LWK&Partners, Hong Kong and Kinzo, Berlin.

Susanne graduated from TU Berlin, Germany (BArch) and TU Delft, Netherlands (MArch), where she received an honorable mention. Her master thesis was nominated for the Archiprix in 2012 and exhibited in the London Urban Transcripts Exhibition in 2012. Her design and research work was further exhibited in Hong Kong and Seoul and published in Monu: Interior Urbanism (10/2014) and Tourette: Wide Open (08/2014).
