望京位于京都东北处，在东直门外，遥望京城方向，依稀可见东直门城门楼，为重要渡口。中国古代于门口放置狮子有镇宅之意，是中国传统文化中的吉祥符号。装置结构的三角母体突破国际广场建筑设计元素“钻石灯笼”，用当代艺术创作的手法传译传统。

Wangjing is located in the northeast of Peking, outside Dongzhimen. Looking at the direction of the capital, one could see, though a bit vaguely, the gate building of Dongzhimen, which is an important ferry. In ancient China, marble lions are placed at the door of a town house to protect the family, thus marble lion is an auspicious symbol in Chinese traditional culture. The triangular matrix of the installation structure originates from the architectural design element Diamond Lantern of the International Square, which interprets the tradition by means of contemporary art creation.
