From spring to autumn,
OCC invites you
to see each other
through art.
Bravo·OCC (One Creative Community), located in Haizhu District, Guangzhou, is a cutting-edge creative landmark in Guangzhou and the creative park closest to the Pearl River New Town CBD. After the micro-transformation by Guangdong Bravo Group in 2016, the building has taken on a new look. Nowadays, as a community gathering creative people in Guangzhou, more and more fashion culture and creative enterprises have joined to further build the creative park into an art community.
From Creative Park to Art Community
The traditional creative parks in Guangzhou are mainly office and the involvement level of art and artists is relatively low. What Bravo·OCC wants to distinguish itself from other creative parks is that here, art is not only appreciated, but also co-created, and much importance is attached to participation, interaction and practicality.
This art season is jointly planned by Fei Architects, Fei Arts Museum and Mapping Workshop. The integration of Art and Architecture (Artecture) has been a very important design concept of Fei Architects. Starting from “community” and combining the process of discovering visible from invisible as emphasized by Mapping Workshop, art becomes a means for space regeneration. This is also the original intention of the catch phrase of this art season: “Hey! Can you see me?”

Regeneration
From April to September 2017, Bravo·OCC held a series of joint local and international art activities in the park for 6 months consecutively, creating and invigorating the cultural and artistic ambience of the community with the public. The theme of this art season is “regeneration”. The transformation from creative park to art community is not only about regeneration of ideas, but also about regeneration of space.
We intend to endow new meaning to the space where OCC is located in an artistic way, and explore the possibilities of art creation and exhibition in creative space. Furthermore, this is an art stage for everyone to participate. This art season strives to establish a platform for art exchanges between artists and the public, and contribute to promoting local artistic atmosphere and invigorating the surrounding communities.
Artistic intervention is a strategy, and the energy obtained from the intervention is regeneration in its real sense.
From Spring to Autumn
Themed on “regeneration”, this art season took six months as an experimental cycle and, through a series of art activities and events such as workshops, forum salons, art installations and exhibitions, more artists, residents in the neighborhood, park staff and tourists could actively participate in the creation of artistic atmosphere of Bravo·OCC, forging an art community that truly belongs to everyone. Art makes people energized!
